Youth Group is holding a Spaghetti Dinner on Tuesday January 6th
at the Parish Hall.

Plan on working especially if you are going to the March for Life!

All the proceeds go towards the trip!

High School NET Retreat

What is NET?
NET is the National Evangelization Team.

Who is NET?
NET is made up of young adults who love christ and His Church,
especially it's young people.
They receive intensive training and then travel the country giving retreats.

When and Where is NET?
Vicariate4 is hosting a NET Retreat on:

Friday, January 30th at 7pm
to
Saturday, January 31st at 8pm
at St. John the Evangelist School.

Register until all space are filled,
or by the registration deadline of Tuesday January 20th.

This is an overnight Retreat for grade 9th - 10th - 11th & 12th.

$35 includes retreat - snacks, and 3 meals!

Calling All Youth Ministry Youth . . .

Your Parish needs you!

Father Bill has asked Youth Ministry to do a special job for the Parish. On Saturday November 1st, the Parish is hosting a special get-together for the surrounding neighborhood. Father has a special invitation that needs to be delivered to the homes in this area. So…..

On Sunday October 26th we will meet at 5pm at the Youth Room
to go out and distribute these invitations.

Everyone is needed—Parents too!

Dress for the weather!

This will go quickly if everyone helps!

FOOD FOR FAITH

St. Stan's Youth Ministry is participating
in the Food for Faith program.

This is a shared program that feeds the
homeless and indigent every Thursday
at 5:30pm at West Minster Presbyterian
on the corner of Midland and Wenona.

Every Thursday different organizations and
Parishes take turns preparing and serving the meal.

St. Stan's Youth Group for the first time has a date!

We will be serving on Thursday October 23rd.

Youth and Adults are needed and welcome.

High school youth this is a great opportunity for
community service hours. Help is needed at 4pm
until 7:30pm.

MARCH FOR LIFE

The Saginaw Diocese has announced info about the
annual trip to Washington DC for the March for Life.
This years dates are January 21st-23rd.
The cost of the trip will be$175 and
will include transportation to DC, housing,
food and t-shirt. Registration materials coming soon!

Each evening will feature a dynamic keynote speaker

There also will be time for fellowship,
praise and worship led by great musicians,
including some who performed at World Youth Day.

Due to the lack of participation this years Cedar Point trip has to be cancelled. We are really sorry about this :-(

Now that school is out (finally-some of us went until the 12th) don't forget to spend some time with your friends at youth ministry! Open gym nights will start on June 19th with a Softball game against St. Johns at St. Johns. There will be a cookout and loads of fun and fellowship!

BIG NEWS ! ! !

V8 Youth Ministry is ready to start building our youth leadership team and need your help! We would like one or two high school youth from each parish to help plan and lead Vicariate events. We will work with teens to provide training and build up the team spirit. We are looking for teens who have strong leadership potential, are devoted to their faith, are respected by their peers, and who work well with adults. We are hoping for a six-month commitment with meetings scheduled as needed beginning Tuesday, June 10 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity. This project is currently under the direction of Mary Dierich, Joe Stanolis and Cathy Treadwell.

SUMMER V8 HAPPENINGS

V8 Cross in the Woods/Day at the Beach

This pilgrimage/fun day is scheduled for Tuesday, August 5 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m with departure from St. Stan's. Please emphasize modest dress at the Shrine--this is a church and you will have a place to change at the beach. The cost is $20 with dinner and transportation paid for; you should bring a sack lunch. See Matt for permission form.

Parish Rummage Sale

Hey everyone Fr. Bill needs help running a parish rummage sale June 16,17,18,19. He is asking any youth who want to camp out those nights to protect the items from vandels, also help sell the items. Those who want to help get in contact with either Matt at 8936421 ext. 112 or Lori at ext. 109. Thanks!

Cedar Point Trip June 24th

Cedar Point Trip is coming up, give me some comments if we want to do a fundraiser to lower the cost. Plan on it June 24th. Start getting your requests in if you planning on attending our annual event. This event is open to families also, so come on parents - its great opportunity to have fun family outing.
